The project
Grove Mechanical handled the complete mechanical scope on this new-build Lower Mainland home — from rough-in to finish. The project included a Lennox heat pump installed on a new concrete pad, a matching Lennox air handler with a custom sheet metal supply plenum, a Rinnai tankless water heater mounted on a backer board with full PEX hot and cold plumbing, and all associated ductwork, refrigerant lines, and venting. Every piece of equipment carries a Grove Mechanical service label and was commissioned and tested before handoff to the homeowner.
New construction projects require tight coordination between the mechanical contractor, framing crew, electrician, and general contractor. Grove Mechanical managed the full mechanical scope in-house — heating, cooling, hot water, and ductwork — which eliminated scheduling conflicts and ensured all systems were designed to work together from day one.
The supply plenum and ductwork transitions were custom-fabricated by Grove Mechanical's in-house Red Seal sheet metal team to fit the specific dimensions of the mechanical room and duct distribution layout. All fabrication was done before installation day to keep the project on schedule.
Installing a tankless water heater and heat pump in the same mechanical room requires careful planning of venting, gas lines, refrigerant lines, and electrical — all running in a compact space without creating access issues. Grove Mechanical's experience with new construction mechanical rooms ensured a clean, serviceable installation.
The homeowner received a complete, high-efficiency mechanical system — Lennox heat pump for heating and cooling, Rinnai tankless for endless hot water, and custom ductwork for balanced airflow throughout the home. All equipment was installed, commissioned, and tested by Grove Mechanical before handoff, with warranty registration and assistance with relevant paperwork after eligibility is confirmed.
Yes. Grove Mechanical handles the full mechanical scope on new construction homes throughout the Lower Mainland — heating, cooling, hot water, ductwork, and plumbing rough-in and finish. We coordinate directly with your general contractor and electrician to keep the project on schedule.
Yes. New construction homes with qualifying Lennox heat pumps are eligible for CleanBC Better Homes rebates. The rebate amount depends on the system type and efficiency rating. Grove Mechanical prepares and submits all rebate paperwork on your behalf.
Rinnai condensing tankless water heaters provide endless hot water on demand, take up significantly less space than a tank, and are up to 96% efficient. For new construction, they're an ideal choice because they can be sized precisely for the home's demand and integrated cleanly into the mechanical room from day one.
